Shower Protectors

Wound care and treatment must factor in how the patient will bathe in recovery without infecting the wound or causing outside contaminants to enter. Dressings themselves aren’t waterproof and therefore don’t provide the necessary level of protection.

A shower protector, also known as a dressing protector, can be placed over the primary and secondary dressings to keep out moisture. Made of a waterproof plastic or a synthetic, latex-free material, a shower protector can be placed on top or around the dressing to preserve its integrity and prevent bacteria and other microorganisms from infecting the injury.

Incision Management Supplies

PREVENA™ Therapy is a method and portable system designed to create an ideal environment for surgical incisions to heal or drain. To do this, the system includes a water-resistant cover that is placed over the incision, a connection tube, a container to collect the exudate, a charger with a rechargeable battery and a carrying case.
