What Is ADAPTIC Gauze?
ADAPTIC Non-Adhering Dressing is a primary dressing made of knitted cellulose acetate mesh, impregnated with a specially formulated petrolatum emulsion. This unique ADAPTIC gauze is designed to minimize pain and maceration in a wound while providing secure protection.

When to Use ADAPTIC for Wounds
ADAPTIC Dressing is indicated for dry to highly exuding wounds when it is important to prevent the adherence of the dressing. ADAPTIC Dressing can be used for a wide range of wound types:

• First- and second-degree burns
• Abrasions
• Grafts
• Venous ulcers
• Pressure injuries
• Nail extractions
• Eczema
• Staples
• Surgical incisions
• Lacerations
• Reconstructive procedures
• Suture lines

Directions for Use of ADAPTIC Non-Adhering Dressing:
Site Preparation
1. Prepare the wound according to wound management protocol.
2. Ensure skin surrounding the wound is dry.

Dressing Application
1. Carefully clean the wound following facility protocol.
2. Cut ADAPTIC™ Dressing to size if needed and place directly on the wound.
3. Cover with sterile secondary dressing of your choice, depending on the amount of wound exudate.
4. ADAPTIC Dressing may be left in place for several days, depending upon amount of exudate.
