What Is Hydrogel?

Hydrogel is gel that is used to assist in the healing process of a wound, as well as prevent further harm from infection. In particular, the gel:

• Assists with rehydrating wound tissue
• Works to slough off dry eschar tissue
• Absorbs exudate to prevent the fluid from spreading beyond the wound bed

When combined with anti microbial solutions, hydrogel can be very effective in speeding up the healing process, as well as protecting your wound from further damage or infections.
