Sorbacell® is a hydrophilic wound dressing allowing for a high degree of absorption, as well as flexibility. This non-adhesive dressing conforms to the wound’s shape and depth, allowing it to be used as a primary dressing on moderate to heavy-exudate wounds, including filling deeper cavities.
How Sorbacell® Foam Dressings Work
Sorbacell® foam dressings feature a hydrophilic polyurethane sheet and no outer layer. The result offers a degree of comfort against the patient’s skin while being able to absorb and retain a large amount of exudate.
• Allows for easy application and removal, reducing potential trauma to the wound bed in the process.
• Can be used underneath a compression bandage.
• Features a thick consistency that can trap a large amount of wound fluid, helping create an ideal healing environment in the process.
• Is sterile and free of natural latex.
Due to the non-adhesive construction, a secondary dressing or tape is needed to hold Sorbacell® foam in place.
