3M Tegaderm CHG IV Securement Dressings level up patient comfort and safety while simplifying routine vascular access. These venous catheter securement dressings combine antimicrobial protection, full site visibility, stable adhesion and breathability in one easy-to-use product.

What Is CHG?
CHG is the acronym for Chlorhexidine Gluconate, a substance that stops or slows the growth of microbes and fungus. This antimicrobial substance has been integrated into the gel pads of Tegaderm dressings to prevent bacterial and fungal growth on the skin around an IV site, which can lower the risk of infection.

Features of 3M Tegaderm CHG IV Securement Dressings
Tegaderm dressings provide a convenient and reliable solution to IV site management by combining security of the intravenous catheter with a design that allows easy and clear monitoring. Features of the 3M Tegaderm CHG Dressing include:
• 2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate integrated into the dressing’s gel pad
• Immediate and continuous antimicrobial protection for up to 7 days, including in the presence of exudate and blood
• Transparent gel pad for full site visibility
• Flexible design conforms around hub and catheter for complete coverage
• Large securement tape with notch for consistent application and enhanced stability
• Highly breathable transparent film provides a barrier against external contamination while allowing moisture evaporation
• Reinforcing documentation tape strip with preprinted labels for recording dressing changes that can also be used to secure lumens, hubs and tubing
• Pattern-coated film adhesive with keyhole notch conforms around catheter and flexes with patient movement to reduce edge lift
