AquaFlush Stoma Stopper
AquaFlush Stoma Stoppers are patented silicone seals you place over the stoma to maintain the site at various locations of the body. This stoma covers prevent leakage and reduce Stoma Stenosis, a must have for everyday stoma care. The exposed top of the stoma stopper is a 15mm circular disc with a small peel-up tab to facilitate easy removal. The circular stopper cap sits low against the body for a proper seal which makes it virtually undetectable underneath clothing. In addition, a hydrocolloid dressing with silicone is used to seal over the stoma cap. This dressing is hypoallergenic, latex-free, and resists bacterial growth.

Why use an Aquaflush stom stopper?
Stoma stoppers are indicated for patients in antegrade continence enemas (ACE) where they are required to seal the tract or maintain an open or unobstructed Ace Stoma in between insertions of the enema catheter. People who have undergone Mitrofanoff procedure are also suitable to us a stoma stopper. Aquaflush Stoppers can also be used for any other stoma of similar size elsewhere in the body.
How to Use AquaFlush Stoma Stopper
- Using sterile scissors, cut to the desired length.
- Lubricate the end with a water-based lubricant for easier insertion.
- Insert the stopper into the tract. Wipe off any lubricant on the surface.
- Peel open dressing and cover stopper. Hold for 30 seconds to ensure the seal.
Each time the stopper is reinserted, clean with soap and water. The dressing can be used for up to 24 hours and is not reusable. Apply a new dressing each time the stoma stopper is reinserted. A single stoma stopper should not be used longer than 30 days.
