UrgoK2 Lite Dual Compression System
UrgoK2 Lite Dual Compression System is a dual compression composed of a short stretch bandage (KTECH) and a long stretch bandage (KPRESS). A unique PresSure system provides pressure spot indicators on both bandages and aids the application of the recommended therapeutic pressure. Inelastic and elastic bandages work together to ensure continuous, consistent, and comfortable pressure.
Two active compression bandages that together provide the target dosage your patient needs
- Layer 1: KTECH Lite /Reduced (wadding: viscose, polyester) – white padded short-stretch bandage, providing compression, protection, and absorbency. This layer remains rigid, absorbing exudate and contributing to patient comfort.
- Layer 2: KPRESS (acrylic, polyamide, elastane; cohesive material) – pink/beige cohesive long-stretch bandage, providing the additional compression necessary to achieve the therapeutic pressure for leg ulcers and securing the bandage system in place.

Contraindications, Warnings, and Precautions
- UrgoK2 should not be used by patients allergic to any of the components.
This product should not be used by patients with arterial conditions (arterial or predominantly arterial ulcers; known or suspected arterial disease).
- Patients with diabetic microangiopathy, ischemic phlbitis (phlegmatia coerulea dolens), and spectic thrombosis should discuss their options with a healthcare provider.
- In case of infected peri-ulcer dermatitis, treat infection before commencing compression bandage therapy.
- In case of an ulcer from a rare origin (vasculitis, hemopathy, pyoderma gangrenosum, etc.), the compression system should only be used following specialist referral.
How to Use UrgoK2 Lite Dual Compression System
- Applying the White Short-Stretch Bandage: Position the foot at a 90 degree angle. Start at the base of the toes, making 2 wraps without applying excess pressure.
- Take the heel, making a figure 8 wrap around the ankle. Ensure that the heel is fully covered.
- From the ankle, wrap up to the knee in spirals, using the pressure spot indicators as a guide.
- Finish 2cm below the knee and cut off any excess bandage. Secure with adhesive tape.
- Applying the Beige Long-Stretch Bandage: To ensure that only the white bandage is in contact with the skin, leave a 1cm margin around the toes and knee.
- Apply the second bandage on top of the first, using the same technique.
- Cut off any excess bandage and apply gentle pressure with the hands along the leg to ensure correct cohesion of second bandage.
- UrgoK2 should be left in place both day and night until the next dressing change at the direction of the clinician. The UrgoK2 kit is designed for single use only.
