Urolux Urinary and Ostomy Appliance Cleanser & Deodorant

If you use a reusable urinary or ostomy appliance, you’ll find that rinsing with water alone doesn’t thoroughly clean the system. As well, other methods like vinegar can harden or damage the rubber. However, not thoroughly cleaning your ostomy or urinary appliance has two significant downsides: a strong odor develops, and you’ll eventually spot buildup or a film inside.

Urolux was developed as a solution for cleaning these reusable products designed to come in contact with the body’s fluids.

What is Urolux Urinary and Ostomy Appliance Cleanser?
Urolux is a deodorizing cleanser specifically formulated for the plastic, rubber and latex components making up your urinary or ostomy system.

A concentrated solution:

• Helps thoroughly clean rubber, latex and plastic parts without drying them out or distorting their shape, covering all areas coming in contact with bodily fluids.
• Washes away any urine crystals, calcium deposits and other buildup.
• Gets rid of strong odors, replacing them with a fresh citrus scent.
• Lasts through several applications.

How to Use Urolux Cleanser
To thoroughly clean your ostomy or urinary appliance, combine Urolux cleanser with the Urocare small plastic brush to scrub all edges and surfaces, including difficult-to-reach areas.

To thoroughly clean the inside of a soiled appliance:
Squeeze ½ ounce (15 mL.) of Urolux solution into appliance, add one cup (250 mL.) of warm water and agitate contents several times during a 15 minute soaking.
Pass cleaning brush ( 7003) through all adaptors and plastic parts—DO NOT PASS BRUSH THROUGH THE RED ANTI-REFLUX VALVE.
Flush contents of appliance with water.
Wash outside of appliance with a mild hand soap, rinse and towel dry.
Regulate the strength of the Urolux solution and the cleaning time by the condition of the soiled appliance.
