Cutimed Siltec Foam Dressing
Cutimed Siltec has been designed to provide gentle and effective exudate management. The non-adhesive silicone wound contact layer protects surrounding skin and allows atraumatic dressing changes by adhering to the periwound skin, but not to the moist wound bed or newly formed epithelial tissue. In addition, above the foam core is a layer of super-absorbers which ensure reliable fluid absorption and fluid retention, even under compression. A highly breathable top film facilities a dynamic MVTR to help maintain moist wound conditions as the wound heals.

Water-repellent and breathable backing – The outer film is bacteria proof, water-repellent, and ensures proper fluid evaporation for changing stages of saturation.
Can be cut to size
- The perforated silicone wound contact layer prevents adherence to newly formed tissue, protects wound margins, and ensures atraumatic, pain-reduced dressing changes.
- Reliable exudate management – The vertical absorption makes sure exudate is taken up and kept inside the dressing – even under compression. Superabsorbent stripes additionally support the absorption capacity.
- Skin-friendly – low potential for skin irritations and allergies.

How to Use Cutimed Siltec Foam Dressing
- Clean the wound and your hands according to good clinical practice.
- Make sure the surrounding skin is dry.
- Choose an appropriate dressing size that covers the wound and overlaps the wound edges.
- Open the pouch and take out the dressing. Remove protective film and apply the adherent side towards the wound. Avoid stretching the dressing.
- Apply additional dressing fixation.
- Cutimed Siltec Foam Dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on wound conditions and saturation of wound dressing. It is recommended to change the dressing every 24 hours initially, moving to less frequent changes as necessary.
- To remove: Carefully remove any additional dressing fixation and gently remove Cutimed Siltec from the wound and discard.
- If required, cleanse the wound prior to application of a new dressing.
