Using cyanoacrylate-based monomers, Marathon Liquid Skin Protectant creates a breathable barrier against moisture and friction. This solution is ideal for various wound care applications, as well as incontinence management and protecting peristomal skin when using an ostomy system.

How Marathon Liquid Skin Protectant Works
To create a strong yet still breathable barrier, Marathon Liquid Skin Protectant:

• Is formulated with cyanoacrylate-based monomers. These individual molecules form a protective bond once they encounter moisture on the skin. The result is a barrier that’s thicker and lasts longer than what other skin protectants provide.
• Can be left on the skin, and will be shed with the body’s dead skin cells.
• Creates a dependable barrier against various bodily fluids, including urine, sweat and wound exudate, that further protects against maceration.
• Dries quickly upon application.
• Can be used on intact, fragile and damaged skin, including peristomal and periwound areas.
• Can be used under medical devices, including to protect against an ostomy wafer’s adhesive to prevent damage and irritation.
• Protects from the effects of friction

How to Use Marathon Liquid Skin Protectant
Marathon Liquid Skin Protectant assists with guarding:

• Damaged, fragile, periwound and peristomal skin
• The perineal area against incontinence-associated dermatitis
• Skin tears
• Fistulas

Contraindicated for second- and third-degree burns, infected areas and application directly to the wound bed and to deep puncture wounds.

Change frequency is up to three days; reapply as needed
