Foam dressings you can rely on.
The Suprasorb P foam dressing portfolio provides multiple benefits for patients and healthcare professionals. It is comfortable to wear, easy to use, and with its perforated wound contact layer specifically designed to minimize irritation for wound and skin, high patient acceptance is achieved.
Due to its excellent exudate management capacity, the Suprasorb P foam dressing can reduce the number of dressing changes resulting in longer rest periods for wound healing and lower costs.
Features & Benefits
Soft and flexible
Comfortable to wear, easy to use.
• Easy to mold—conforms to body contours
• Low potential for dressing induced sore spots
Perforated wound contact layer
High rate of patient acceptance.
• Perforated wound contact layer minimizes skin irritation (e.g., maceration, hematoma)
Reliable exudate management
Improved wound healing.
• Fewer dressing changes lead to longer rest periods for wound healing
• Longer dressing change intervals result in lower costs
Dressing change intervals
• Depending on the amount of exudate, Suprasorb P dressings can stay on the wound up to 7 days.
Super Absorbers
Vliwasorb® & Vliwasorb® Border
Superabsorbent dressings with extremely high absorption and retention capacities
Super absorbent fiber core absorb many times its own weight in fluids and does not release the retained exudate even under mechanical pressure. This is how the wound margins are protected from maceration and makes Vliwasorb the comfortable wound dressing choice under compression bandages.
Managing heavily exuding wounds can be costly when valuable time and resources are spent on frequent dressing changes. Vliwasorb super absorbent dressing, with its very high absorption capacity, helps allow for fewer dressing changes which saves time and money.

Alginate Dressings
Suprasorb® A
Calcium Alginate Dressing & Rope
Suprasorb A is ideal for the care of heavily exuding, superficial or deep wounds. A highly absorbent wound dressing, Suprasorb A is made from calcium alginate derived from natural brown seaweed. The soft dressing conforms easily to any wound base, it even fills deep wounds.
Suprasorb A absorbs large volumes of exudate by gel formation which creates a moist wound environment. The gel is formed through an exchange of calcium ions from the wound dressing with sodium ions in the wound exudate. Suprasorb A absorbs large volumes of exudate by a rapid gel formation which creates a moist wound environment. When changing the dressing the exudate is removed along with the alginate fibers.
Indications
For the management of wounds in the exudation and granulation phase which are:
• Moderate to heavily exuding
• Superficial or deep
Such as:
• Pressure injuries
• Venous leg ulcers
• Diabetic foot ulcers
• Skin donor sites
• Second degree burns
• Post-operative wounds
Features/Benefits
• Absorbs large quantities of exudate
• Rapid formation of gel
• High comfort due to soft structure and easy to pack
• Conforms to most any wound bed
• Easily removed by irrigation using normal saline
Interval between dressing changes
Depending on the the degree of exudation and the secondary dressings used – can be up to 5-7 days at latest. Always use your judgement as to how frequently to change dressings.
Suprasorb® A+Ag
Calcium Alginate with Antimicrobial Silver Dressing & Rope
Suprasorb A + Ag is ideal for the care of heavily exuding wounds. Highly absorbent, Suprasorb A + Ag dressings are made from calcium alginate derived from natural brown seaweed. The soft and comfortable wound dressing fills even deep wounds and conforms to most any wound bed. The dressing forms a gel when in contact with wound exudate.
The silver in Suprasorb A + Ag has an antibacterial effect on the wound bacteria in the dressing including Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. The silver ions protect the dressing from a broad spectrum of bacterial contamination over a period of up to 3 days in the in vitro challenge test.
Indications
For the management of wounds in the exudation and granulation phase which are:
• Moderate to heavily exuding
• Superficial or deep
• At risk of infection
• Infected
Such as:
• Pressure injuries
• Venous leg ulcers
• Diabetic foot ulcers
• Skin donor sites
• Second degree burns
• Post-operative wounds
Features/Benefits
• Absorbs large quantities of exudate
• Gel formation occurs with wound exudate or blood
• Antibacterial effect upon various types of bacteria
• Well tolerated due to very soft structure and is easy to pack
Interval between dressing changes
Depending on the degree of infection, the degree of exudation and the secondary dressings used – can be up to 3 days. Always use your judgement as to how frequently to change dressings.
Specialty Dressings
Suprasorb® F
Protects wounds and secures dressings
Suprasorb F transparent film dressings help protect the wound against contaminants and help shield the wound from external moisture. The dressings can be worn even while the patient is showering.
